The auction of Bangladesh Bank repo and liquidity support facility for the commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Sunday, 11 September 2022. In that auction, 08 PD banks submitted 32 bids amounting to Taka 4317.47 crore and 03 Non-PD banks submitted 05 bids amounting to Taka 497.45 crore as 07 days tenor repo facility. Of which, all bids amounting to Taka 2590.48 crore in favor of 08 PD banks and 497.45 crore in favor of 03 Non-PD banks were accepted by the auction committee. Moreover, 01 bid amounting to taka 500.00 crore of 01 bank for 01 day tenor was offered as Special Repo and 51 bids amounting to taka 4690.29 crore of 13 banks for 01 day tenor were offered as Liquidity Support Facility. All bids were accepted by the auction committee. Accordingly, total Taka 8278.22 crore was provided under repo, special repo and liquidity support facility. The interest rates of the above-mentioned 07 days tenor repo, special repo and liquidity support facility were 5.60, 8.50 and 5.50 percent per annum, respectively.
