The auction of Bangladesh Bank repo and liquidity support facility for the commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Sunday, 25 September 2022. In that auction, 10 PD banks submitted 65 bids amounting to Taka 9201.60 crore and 02 Non-PD banks submitted 04 bids amounting to Taka 670.76 crore as 07 days tenor repo facility. Of which, all bids amounting to Taka 3680.64 crore in favor of 10 PD banks and 536.61 crore in favor of 02 Non-PD banks were accepted by the auction committee. Moreover, 01 bid amounting to taka 200.00 crore of 01 bank for 01 day tenor was offered as Special Repo and 39 bids amounting to taka 4129.36 crore of 09 banks for 01 day tenor were offered as Liquidity Support Facility. All bids were accepted by the auction committee. Accordingly, total Taka 8546.61 crore was provided under repo, special repo and liquidity support facility. The interest rates of the above-mentioned 07 days tenor repo, special repo and liquidity support facility were 5.60, 8.50 and 5.50 percent per annum, respectively.
