A SAARCFINANCE Cell was established in the Research Department of Bangladesh Bank in 1998 to carry out the responsibilities assigned to it. Presently, a Deputy General Manager of the Research Department of Bangladesh Bank is working as the SAARCFINANCE Coordinator and under the supervision of a General Manager of the Research Department four officials are engaged in the SAARCFINANCE cell including SAARCFINANCE Coordinator.


Sharing Information

Under information sharing activities of the Network, Bangladesh Bank has been continually exchanging a number of publications and other information with the central banks of other SAARC members since its inception. Moreover, SAARCFINANCE Cell supplies various data/information to the different central banks of the SAARC countries on occasional basis after receiving requests from them.
