The auction of Bangladesh Bank repo and liquidity support facility for the commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Wednesday, 18 October 2023. In that auction, 02 banks submitted 03 bids amounting to Taka 124.70 crore as for 01 day tenor repo facility and 10 banks and 02 financial institutions submitted 85 bids amounting to Taka 6,992.25 crore as for 07 days tenor repo facility. Of which, all bids amounting to Taka 99.76 crore under 01 day tenor repo facility and Taka 5,593.80 crore under 07 days tenor repo facility were accepted by the auction committee. Moreover, 01 bid amounting to Taka 1,463.00 crore of 01 bank was offered as for 01 day tenor standing lending facility and 74 bids amounting to Taka 7,466.04 crore of 14 PD banks were offered as for 01 day tenor Liquidity Support Facility. All bids were accepted by the auction committee. Accordingly, a total amount of Taka 14,622.60 crore was provided under repo, standing lending facility and liquidity support facility and IBLF. The interest rates of the above-mentioned 01 day and 07 days tenor repo, standing lending facility and liquidity support facility were 7.25, 7.35, 9.25 and 7.25 percent per annum, respectively.
