The auction of Bangladesh Bank repo and liquidity support facility for the commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Tuesday, 10 October 2023. In that auction, 16 banks and 01 financial institution submitted 75 bids amounting to Taka 7,078.99 crore as for 07 days tenor repo facility. Of which, all bids amounting to Taka 5,663.19 crore were accepted by the auction committee. Moreover, 02 bids amounting to Taka 1,550.00 crore of 02 banks was offered as for 01 day tenor standing lending facility and 59 bids amounting to Taka 6,621.43 crore of 12 PD banks were offered as for 01 day tenor Liquidity Support Facility. All bids were accepted by the auction committee. Accordingly, a total amount of Taka 13,834.62 crore was provided under repo, standing lending facility and liquidity support facility. The interest rates of the above-mentioned 07 days tenor repo, standing lending facility and liquidity support facility were 7.35, 9.25 and 7.25 percent per annum, respectively.
