The auction of Bangladesh Bank repo and liquidity support facility for the commercial banks and financial institutions was held on last Thursday, 07 July 2022. In that auction, 04 banks submitted 06 bids amounting to Taka 1827.68 crore as 05 days repo facility, 02 banks submitted 04 bids amounting to Taka 172.04 crore as 07 days repo facility and 16 banks submitted 103 bids amounting to Taka 6840.15 crore as 05 days liquidity support facility. Alongside the acceptence of all the bids mentioned above, the auction committee also decided to provide Taka 1501.75 crore to 01 bank as 05 days special repo facility. Accordingly, total Taka 10341.62 crore was provided under repo, special repo and liquidity support facility. The interest rates described 05 and 07 days repo, special repo and liquidity support facility were 5.50, 5.60, 8.50 and 5.50 percent per annum respectively.
