The auction of Bangladesh Bank repo and liquidity support facility for the commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Wednesday, 21 September 2022. In that auction, 04 banks submitted 06 bids amounting to Taka 579.36 crore as 07 days tenor repo facility. Of which, all bids amounting to Taka 289.68 crore were accepted by the auction committee. Moreover, 11 banks submitted 39 bids amounting to Taka 3747.85 crore as 01 day tenor liquidity support facility. All bids were accepted by the auction committee. Accordingly, total Taka 4037.53 crore was provided under repo and liquidity support facility. The interest rates of the above-mentioned 07 days tenor repo and liquidity support facility were 5.60 and 5.50 percent per annum, respectively.
