Submission/Author Guidelines

Submission of manuscripts is invited on significant, original, and unpublished research works. A paper under review at the time of submission, or one that has already been published or accepted for publication in a journal, will not be accepted for publication.

Papers will be subject to blind peer review. Selection criteria include the accuracy and originality of ideas, clarity and significance of results, and quality of presentation. Papers will be judged based on standard measures of quality, considering their relevance to the theme.

Instructions for the Authors:

For submission, the authors are requested to follow the following criteria:

Plagiarism, AI Usage and Publication Ethics:

• Plagiarism and Similarity: A similarity test is mandatory for all manuscripts, with a maximum Similarity Index of 20%. Bibliography/References and continuous phrase matching of up to 10 words may be excluded. Manuscripts exceeding the limit may be returned for revision and resubmission.
• Data Integrity: If significant similarity is found in the Results, Data, Analysis, or Methodology, authors may be required to provide raw data and supporting documents. Fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or inadequate evidence may result in rejection and publication-ethics action.
• AI-Generated Content: AI-generated text should not exceed 30% of the total text. AI use in Data Analysis, Methodology, statistical/econometric procedures, or other technical sections will be reviewed separately by the Committee. Substantive AI use should be disclosed, and AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
• Duplicate Submission/Publication: Manuscripts must not be simultaneously submitted to, or previously published elsewhere. Proven duplicate submission/publication will result in immediate rejection.
• Blacklisting: Authors found responsible for serious plagiarism, duplicate publication/submission, fabrication, falsification, or other major publication-ethics violations may be barred from further submission to the BBTA Journal for up to three years.
• Final Decision: The Plagiarism Review and Publication Ethics Committee reserves the right to conduct relevant checks at any stage. Its decision on suspected plagiarism, AI-generated content, research misconduct, or publication-ethics violations shall be final.

Submission Criteria:

• A separate Title Page bearing the paper’s title, authors’ full names, affiliations and the mailing address, telephone number and email address of the corresponding author should be attached along with the manuscript. The author(s) should not mention his/her name and address in the text of the paper.
• Articles submitted for publication in the Journal must not have been accepted for publication elsewhere.
• Tables, graphs and maps may be used in the article. The title and sources of such tables, graphs, etc., should be mentioned.
• If the Editorial Board is of the opinion that an article provisionally accepted for publication needs to be revised, shortened, or that particular expressions therein need to be deleted or rephrased, the authors should accept such a request and revise the article accordingly.
• The numbering of the footnote will be consecutive, and the footnotes themselves will be placed at the end of the article.
• Articles if not accepted for publication will not be returned to the author.

Page Setup:

• Paper size: A4
• Top & bottom margin: 2” (two inches)
• Left & right margin: 1.5” (one point five inches)
• Header and footer: 1.6” (one point six inches)
• Font: Times New Roman
• Font size for the article title: 16 pt bold
• Font size for paragraph captions: 12 pt bold
• Font size for general text: 11 pt
• Font size for the abstract, footnote and references: 10 pt

Keywords and Classification Codes:

Each source cited in the paper must appear in the reference list; likewise, each entry in the reference list must be cited in the text.

Provide three (3) to five (5) keywords representing the main content of the article and three (3) standard JEL classification codes after the abstract of the article.

Citation and References:

• Text citation: Sources should be cited in the text, usually in parentheses, by the author’s last (family) name, the publication date of the work cited, and a page number, if needed.
• Reference list: Full details of sources should appear in the References section, in which the year of publication appears immediately after the author’s name. Authors should follow the APA referencing format in the reference list. The reference list should appear at the end of the paper.

Book Review:

Reviews of new books on economics, central banking, commercial banking, finance, and recent economic developments are published upon request. Authors or publishers may send two copies of each book to the Editor for review.
