The auction of Bangladesh Bank repo and liquidity support facility for the commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Monday, 19 September 2022. In that auction, 05 PD banks submitted 36 bids amounting to Taka 2174.78 crore and 01 Non-PD bank submitted 01 bid amounting to Taka 197.38 crore as 07 days tenor repo facility. Of which, all bids amounting to Taka 1739.82 crore in favor of 05 PD banks and 197.38 crore in favor of 01 Non-PD bank were accepted by the auction committee. Moreover, 14 banks submitted 58 bids amounting to Taka 4861.68 crore as 01 day tenor liquidity support facility. All bids were accepted by the auction committee. Accordingly, total Taka 6798.88 crore was provided under repo and liquidity support facility. The interest rates of the above-mentioned 07 days tenor repo and liquidity support facility were 5.60 and 5.50 percent per annum, respectively.
