The auction of Bangladesh Bank repo and liquidity support facility for the commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Thursday, 15 September 2022. In that auction, 05 PD banks submitted 13 bids amounting to Taka 3231.10 crore and 01 Non-PD bank submitted 01 bid amounting to Taka 94.96 crore as 07 days tenor repo facility. Of which, all bids amounting to Taka 1292.44 crore in favor of 05 PD banks and 94.96 crore in favor of 01 Non-PD bank were accepted by the auction committee. Moreover, 02 bids amounting to taka 285.00 crore of 02 banks for 03 days tenor were offered as Special Repo and 62 bids amounting to taka 5180.32 crore of 16 banks for 03 days tenor were offered as Liquidity Support Facility. All bids were accepted by the auction committee. Accordingly, total Taka 6852.72 crore was provided under repo, special repo and liquidity support facility. The interest rates of the above-mentioned 07 days tenor repo, special repo and liquidity support facility were 5.60, 8.50 and 5.50 percent per annum, respectively.
